Shop-floor PCs deserve better than a spare afternoon

Every plant runs on screens: terminals at the line, work instructions at the bench, andon boards above the floor. Yet the PCs behind them are often set up by hand, one at a time, and left alone until something breaks. When a line changes, someone walks out with a keyboard. When a screen goes dark on top of a machine, someone finds a ladder.

Many of the tools for this are tied to one vendor’s hardware, need servers on site, or were built for office laptops rather than the shop floor. We think a plant should be able to take any PC, plug in a USB stick, and have a secure, locked-down station a few minutes later, then manage all of them from one place.

That is what we are building with Oztis. It is in beta today, and we are looking for our first plants to shape it with us.
