Pricing FAQ

Questions about pricing

What counts as a device?

A device is a station that has been approved in your console and not deleted. Stations waiting for approval and rejected stations are never billed.

Is the first device really free?

Yes. Starter includes one device at no cost and needs no credit card. On paid plans, the first device is also free.

Can I add more stations during the beta?

Paid plans open when billing launches. Until then, if you need more than one device for a pilot, sign in and use Help in the console to ask us to raise your limit.

What happens when I reach my device limit?

New stations still enroll, but wait as pending until the limit is raised. Stations that are already running are not affected.

How does billing work when I add or remove stations?

Plant is billed monthly. When the number of devices changes, the charge is adjusted for the rest of the month. Enterprise is billed by invoice.

What if a payment fails?

Owners see a notice in the console. If payment still isn’t made after the retry period, the console becomes read-only. Your stations keep running from their last configuration and are never wiped.

Do I need to buy hardware or servers?

No. Oztis runs on standard and industrial x86 PCs you already have or buy from anyone, and the console runs in the cloud. Any 64-bit x86 PC with UEFI boot, a built-in disk of 6 GB or more and outbound HTTPS will do.
